Crock Pot BBQ Pork Tenderloin
Equipment
- Slow Cooker or Crock Pot
Ingredients
- 1 Pork Tenderloin (1.2 to 2 pounds)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1.5 tbsp Steamin' Steve's Sweet Mesquite Dry Rub
- 1 cup Chicken Broth or Water
- 1 cup Steamin' Steve's Sweet Heat "Original" BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Remove the pork tenderloin from the package, and place it on a cutting board.
- Sprinkle the salt over the pork tenderloin.
- Liberally season the pork tenderloin with the Steamin' Steve's Sweet Mesquite dry rub
- Add the water or chicken stock to the bottom of the slow cooker or crock pot. Place the pork tenderloin into the slow cooker or crock pot.
- Place the lid on the cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours, or until the tenderloin is easy to shred with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker or crock pot and shred it with a pair of forks or with a set of meat claws.
- Return the shredded pork back to the slow cooker or crock pot and mix it with any of the juices that remain in the bottom.
- Add the Steamin' Steve's Sweet Heat "Original" BBQ Sauce to the slow cooker or crock pot and stir to combine. Serve warm.
Notes
For those looking for a bit more kick out of their pork, substitute Sweet Heat 'Mild' or 'Hot' in place of the 'Original'
If you are cooking for a large party, depending on your slow cooker/crock pot size you can cook 3-4 tenderloins at the same time. Cook times will increase.
